Brinton " is home on furlough following his ; return from the Pacific, where he f served at Tulagi, Guadalcanal, " New Caledonia, and Guam with li an anti-aircraft battery. Cpl. Brinton, who received his present rating last January, was a range setter. Clifton Guymon (Anderson) Goes Into Service Clifton Guymon (Anderson), son of Mr. and Mrs. -Walter Anderson, Ander-son, has enlisted in the Army and is. taking his basic training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. Clifton has served a year and seven months in the Merchant Marines and dur- - ing that time has been awarded two medals and two war zone ' bars from the U. S. Government for service on troop transports and tankers, and has traveled to the Aleutians, the Hawaiian Is- lands, also Alaskan, South American, Amer-ican, Panama and Atlantic ocean ports. Earl S.
