Show Couple Given Farewell Socials Honoring Mr. and Mrs. Julian Rasmussen who left last weekend to make their home in Denver, Colorado, a number of social functions func-tions were arranged for them. On Tuesday afternoon a group of neighbor ladies met for a farewell fare-well party for Mrs Rasmussen. They enjoyed sewing and social . chat and presented the guest of honor with a lovely gift. Those present were: Mrs. Nell Frey, Mrs. Nima Davidson, Mrs. Ruth Wetherall, Mrs. Catherine Johnson, John-son, Mrs. Faye Oldroyd, Mrs. Afton Af-ton Frandson, Mrs. Enid Norton, Mrs. Myrle Anderson, Mrs. Adela Woyack, Mrs. Verda Aimes, and Mrs. Rasmussen. On Thursday evening, members of the Brookside club of which Mrs. Rasmussen is a member met at the home of Mrs. Bert Cher-rington Cher-rington for a "going-away" party. A delicious luncheon was served . at small tables midst gay Halloween Hallo-ween motifs after which the group presented a gift to Mrs. Rasmussen Rasmus-sen and played progressive games, with prizes going to Mrs. John Ivey. Guests included: Mrs. Clar- ence scnriever, Mrs. unester Wright, Mrs. Willard West, Mrs. Bert Strong, Mrs. Vernon Vern-on Dunn, Mrs. Ernest Boyer, Mrs. Richard Haglund, Mrs. Glen Pyper, Mrs. Perry Goodliffe, Mrs. William Turner, Mrs. John Ivey, Mrs. Ray Lovell, Mrs. Jim Miller, Mil-ler, Mrs. John Stark, Mrs. Kath-erine Kath-erine Sheffield, Mrs. Leanard James, Mrs. Julian Rasmussen and another guest, Mrs. Jean Allan. Al-lan. On Friday evening "open house" was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boyer to which nearly 80 neighbors and friends 'of the Rasmussens called to wish them good luck in their new venture. Mrs. Boyer was assisted in the serving of the guests by Mrs. Catherine Johnson. |
