Show FAMED MUSICIANS TO APPEAR WITH SYMPHONY ORCH. One of the major musical attractions at-tractions of the 1948-1949 season will be the appearance of Roy and Johana Harris on the opening pair of concerts to toe presented next Tuesday and Wednesday, October Oct-ober 26 and 27, in the Provo Tabernacle Tab-ernacle by the Intermountain Symphony Sym-phony Society. Dr. Harris, one of the most distinguished of American Ameri-can composers, will toe featured as guest conductor, conducting the orchestra in two of his own prize-winning prize-winning compositions and will also conduct as his wife Johana plays the Mozart Concerto in A Major for piano and orchestra. This will be the Harrises first ! appearance in Utah since Dr. Har- ris's recent appointment as head of the music department at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan. Lo-gan. The quality of performance is expected ex-pected to be at a new peak with nearly all of last year's best players play-ers back and with the addition of a number of outstanding new players, headed by the great Polish-born violinist, Vishka Krow-kowsky, Krow-kowsky, who will make her first appearance as concertmistress of the orchestra. Season tickets for the Society's series of eight concerts are now on sale at the symphony desk on the main floor of Sears Roebuck and Company in Provo, and are priced at less than was charged for six concerts last year.
