Show J.W. GRANTS WIN HONORS WITH HORSES Kalarama Parader Takes Top Honors In Five Gaited Stallion Class; Gleam of Hope Wins Kalarama Parader, beautiful stallion owned by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grant, took top honors of the stallion five-gaited class at the Utah Centennial horse show in Salt Lake City last week. The show was a national one, with some of the best breeding class entries en-tries in the country displaying their fancy paces and jumping ability, ab-ility, with Utah horses showing up particularly well. Taking the five-gaited five-gaited championship stake, Kalarama Kala-rama Parader went through the difficult show steps to gain the judges' approval for top honors in the event. Mr. and Mrs. Grant's other entry, en-try, Gleam of Hope, 2-year-old stallion, took first in the Model 3 years and under class. Also their Hope Violet won top honors in the 3 years and under Model Mare class. Kalarama Parader took fourth in the final 5-gaited championship cham-pionship stake with all the field competing. Riding and showing the horses I at the big show, was A. G. Brown, trainer, who has had considerable experience in the business in eastern east-ern cities and shows. Mr. and Mrs. Grant will enter their horses in the forthcoming horse show at Provo, July 11 and 12. |
