' j Every celebration has its queen and oftimes its king and Springville's Fourth of July festivities will be no exception. Specially honored during the day will be Miss Joyce Weight, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight, and Bill Whitney, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Whitney, who won their honors by submitting sub-mitting the best essays on, "How I Would Like to Celebrate the Fourth of July." The essay contest was sponsored by the Jr. Chamber of Commerce and they are following these young people's suggestions as nearly as possible for the celebration. The Jaycees will also see that theyget free tickets to the day's events as an award for their efforts. The winning essays are printed print-ed in today's Herald. In the picture, left to right, are Mayor Glen W. Sumsion, Miss Joyce Weight and Bill Whitney. |
