Under Un-der this plan, the utilities department depart-ment would be housed in one building build-ing and the remainder of the offices of-fices in the other. At Friday's meeting the propos al was advanced and the prelimi naries discussed by the commissioners commis-sioners with no commitments by either side. The group decided to call in one contractor and one architect ar-chitect to appraise the value of both buildings. All commissioners agreed that these two experts should be from outside Utah county coun-ty so that impartiality might be maintained. The city and county building cost $576,495.30, plus $68,000 for furniture, making a total value when new of $644,495.30. PROVO OFFERS TO SELL SHARE IN COUNTY BUILDING Although specific details and price were not mentioned, Utah county commissioners are consid-eing consid-eing the offer of Provo City to sell them its one-third interest in the city and county building, following fol-lowing preliminary talks between city and county commissioners on Friday. For several years city officials have considered selling their interest in the smaller city building, which the city and county coun-ty purchased from the federal government gov-ernment when the Provo post office of-fice was moved to its present site.
