Show ;Aircraft Hearing For Wage Raise Scheduled Soon A hearing to consider raising the present 50 cents an hour minimum mini-mum wage now prevailing in the aircraft manufacturing industry on Government contracts let under the Walsh-Healey Public Contracts Act, is scheduled to open in Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. on July 26, it was announced here today by John R. Dille, regional director of the I m TinrtrTTrii n Wage and Hour and Public Contracts Con-tracts Divisions, U. S. Department of Labor, in the eight Western states. The hearing will also consider employment of learners or apprentices appren-tices at subminimum rates, and a proposed redefinition of the industry in-dustry to provide more clarity, he added |
