Show City Appoints Collector; Asks For Park, City Kept Clean Springville's city council has appointed ap-pointed R. W. Merrill to collect all delinquent business operating licenses li-censes who have failed to send in their amount due for the past year and also this year. Mr. Merrill will also continue his work in checking water sprinkling violators viola-tors throughout the city. It was also pointed out by the council that trouble with livestock live-stock in the Kelly's Grove park is making it very bad for local people who drive to the park for an evening's picnic. Mayor Price stated sta-ted that henceforth anyone finding livestock within the park should report it immediately to the city and the stray pound keeper will get the livestock and the owner will be charged the amount it takes to have the park cleaned up. Another reminder is put before the public that since Springville is proud of its clean streets, that shoppers should be more particular particu-lar in where they put their waste paper while shopping down town. The city has made available all along main street, convenient waste paper metal containers and anyone with city pride should use these for waste materials. It will assist in keeping main street clean, the Mayor pointed out. |
