Show M Men Games Tonight End First Mali Play; Three Games Scheduled First Ward vs. Mapleton Is Top Game On Evening's Schedule; Second, Fourth Play At 7, Fifth-Sixth At 9 , KU Stake M Men will wind up the first half of league play tonight with fhree games scheduled. At 7 p. m.. Second Sec-ond will meet the Fourth ward. Second must win thicon- test to keep in the running fori stake honors and is favored to do just that. Top game of the evening is scheduled for 8 p. m., when the fast-playing First Warders will tangle with the improved Mapleton club. Both teams have won an equal number of games and both teams will be out to win to keep in the running. The game is a toss- up and should be a close and thrilling thrill-ing battle. Sixth and Fifth wards meet in the night's finale. Sixth, who is leading the league to date, may have difficulty with the rangy Fifth Warders, who have added Martin Reed to their roster. M Men games that were previously prev-iously scheduled for Saturday night will be postponed and tacked on the end of the schedule, being played on February 6th. Last Week's Results ... Mapleton pulled a mild upset last Thursday when they tipped the Second Warders, 26-20. Inability In-ability to score from the free throw line cost Second the game. ! Fourth and Fifth put on a stiff battle before a large M Men crowd , in the 8 o'clock game. Fifth won the tilt, 24-19, with scoring being .evenly divided on both teams. I Sixth won over Third on failure' of Third's being able to field a team. i Saturday night Paul Hansen and 'his Mapleton teammates coasted j to a decisive 43-26 win over the Fourth. Hansen counted 20 points. O. and R. Sumsion counted 9 and 6 respectively for the losers. First defeated Fifth in the second game of the evening, 35-24, with B. Ol-! Ol-! son and Jarvis counting highest for First. Haymond and E. Weight, with 10 and 6 points respectively, looked best for Fifth. Second won ' over Third because Third failed to ' field a team. Nielson, Third's stel- lar guard, received an ankle injury in a recent game and has been unable tp play. He is expected to be back' in the Third's lineup for tonight's contest.
