Show NEW OFFICIALS TAKE UTAH COUNTY POSITIONS Inauguration ceremonies at noon Monday in the county commission chambers officially began the terms of eight newly-elected Republican Re-publican Utah county officers, and continue two elected Democrats Demo-crats in office. The eight new Republicans include in-clude Reed J. Knudsen, Provo, and George A. Cheever, Payson, commissioners; com-missioners; Verl Dixon, Provo, clerk; J. Austin Cone, Jr., Span ish Fork, assessor; Karl H. Bennett, Ben-nett, American Fork, auditor; Mildred Mil-dred Evans Ream, Spanish Fork, recorder; Maurice Bird, Spring-ville, Spring-ville, treasurer; Hugo Price, Provo, Pro-vo, surveyor. Sheriff Theron S. Hall and Co. Atty. Arnold Roylance of Spring-ville Spring-ville will take their oaths of office as the only Democrats to survive the November elections. |
