Show Paragraphs Of Interest . . . 1 Sgt. Bernell L. Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Jensen, 528 So. Main street, Springville, has recently re-cently received a promotion to his present rank of Sergeant. He is assigned to the First Infantry Regiment which is part of the famous fa-mous Red Star Sixth Infantry Division Di-vision now on occupational duty in southern Korea. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Peterson had as their guests over , the weekend, week-end, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Harmer and children, Miss Shirley Peterson Peter-son and Doyle Eigan of Layton. On Sunday the group, with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Peterson, went to Payson to spend the day with another an-other daughter, Mrs. Darrell Hill and family. . Russell Lamar Diamond F 1c, spent a few days of the past week at home on leave from the Navy visiting his wife, the former Ald-wyth Ald-wyth Stephens of Provo, also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Russell Diamond, "and other relatives and friends. He has been in the Navy the past year on carrier duty near Pensacola, Fla. R. L. Althouse came from Hen-drickson, Hen-drickson, Nev., to spend the holidays holi-days with his family here. He was recently transferred to work in Nevada. ' Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Mason and children of Jackson, Wyo., have returned home after spending the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mr. Lee Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mason. Mr. and Mrs, Ted A. Rowland and daughters of Pocatello, Ida, spent a few days during the holidays holi-days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Rowland, and with other relatives and friends here. Mr., and Mrs. . Fred Graber of Logan have returned home after a holiday visit with the latter's mother, Mrs. Etta Thorpe, and other relatives and friend jui Springville. Miss Mary Louise Rowland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Rowland, left this week to enroll at the U.S.A.C. at Logan. Mr and Mrs. R. G MacKenzie, Jr, have returned to their home In Richmond, -Calif, following a visit during the holidays with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bramall and Mr. and Mrs. R. G. MacKenzie, MacKen-zie, ,Sr. of Provo, and with other relatives and friends. Among the social events given during their stay here was a birthday party at the Bramall residence honoring Mrs. Phyllis B. Harmer, Dec. 27. It was the first time the Bramall family had been together for four years. , Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Ewing and son Howard of this city, recently returned from a delightful visit with relatives in California. In San Francisco, they were guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo P. Seibold, and their children, ' Judith Ann and Paul, where they spent the Christmas Christ-mas holidays. Mr. Seibold is employed em-ployed with the Sunknit Co. at San Francisco. The Ewings also visited at Palo Alto and spent some time at Danville, with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Atkinson and children, Geraldine, Gay, and Bill. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Dalton of San Francisco, Calif., visited here during the holidays, the guests of Mrs. Sarah Dalton and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorn. PERSONALS s:w Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bowes and son from Canada visited over the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Long and family. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clyde left recently on a few weeks vacation trip through the southern states. Don Humphrey of this city was recently announced as a member of the Centennial Light Opera cast in "Blossom Time," to be presented forty times in forty-five cities, during the next four months. Mrs. Alice Davis left last Saturday Satur-day for Long Beach, Calif., to visit her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Stone and husband and their new baby daughter. Mrs. Belle Woodruff has returned re-turned to Springville following a few days' visit with relatives in |
