Show 'ENGINEER WILL SPEAK ON PROJECT FRIDAY Importance of Colorado River Project To Be Explained; Everyone Interested Invited Parley Nealy, Field Engineer for the Reclemation Dept., will speak on the proposed Colorado River project and what it means to Central Utah and to citizens of Springville and vicinity, at a meeting Friday evening at Memorial Me-morial hall. The meeting is scheduled for 7 :30 p. m., and will be held in the club room and an invitation is extended ex-tended to everyone in this city and Mapleton to attend. The engineer will have maps to show where proposed electric power plants might be located and he will explain the far-reaching benefits of the project to this vicinity, vi-cinity, from a standpoint of increased in-creased power as well as for irrigation irri-gation purposes. Officers in charge of the meeting meet-ing point to the fact that local citizens should have firsthand information in-formation on just what the project proj-ect would mean to this area as well as to the entire state, and it is for this purpose that the engineer engi-neer has been secured to speak here Friday. Everyone interested in the progress of the city and the state, industrially or agriculturally, agricultural-ly, should attend the meeting. |
