Show COUNTIES URGED TO MODERNIZE CAPITOL EXHIBITS Most of the counties represented by displays on the first floor of the state capitol have failed to remodel remod-el their exhibits and some are "extremely "ex-tremely antiquated," according to Dr. E. E. Monson, secretary of state, building custodian. Late in 1946 Dr. Monson wrote letters to commissioners of all counties requesting that they bring displays up to date with materials that would interest Centennial visitors. Only Weber and Cache counties have begun remodeling of exhibits. Since the tourist trade already is under way, he suggests that the displays be updated immediately. When the capitol was completed, ! he said, display space was given to counties which agreed to install and maintain exhibits depicting major industries or points of interest in-terest in the counties. |
