Show CIVIC MUSICAL GROUP SETS FIRST CONCERT The Springville Civic Orchestra, under direction of J. H. Hilgen-dorff, Hilgen-dorff, will present the first of a series of concerts in this city on December 11, it was announced Wednesday. Definite plans in regard re-gard to the place of presentation and program will be announced. The orchestra is made up largely large-ly of Springville people, who are giving their time and efforts, as well as talents, that this city may enjoy fine concert orchestrations and to this end they are conducting conduct-ing regular practices each week in preparation for the opening concert. con-cert. The local Junior chamber of commerce have pledged their support sup-port to the organization and will take over the sale of tickets and other arrangements for the first concert. They are asking that civic organizations and church groups promote and support the orchestra as one of the fine cultural cul-tural projects of this community. Proceeds from the concert will be used to purchase instruments and music, which at present is be. ing borrowed by members of the group. I |
