Show BIDS OPEN ON ROAD JOBS . . Bids were being opened late Monday afternoon by the Utah state road commission on five projects pro-jects upon which the engineer's estimate is more than $200,000. The largest Job is providing a 24-foot wide surface with plant bituminous bi-tuminous material over 3.905 miles of the road in Summit county, between be-tween Wasatch and Castle Rock. The project also calls for construction construc-tion of a 20-foot steel bridge. Two projects in Wasatch and Summit counties will provide for 7.573 miles of roadway in two sections, sec-tions, 3.901 miles between the Utah county line and Charleston, and for 3.673 miles of a secondary road between be-tween Marion and Kamas. The estimate es-timate is $20,000. A third job provides for surfacing surfac-ing with a road mix of a secondary road between Wellsville and Men-don Men-don in Cache county, where 5.678 miles are to be improved. The estimate es-timate is $14,000. The other two are both for roadside road-side improvements, where tourist rest areas are being developed. The first is at Devil's Slide in Morgan county. Cost is estimated at $13,-000. $13,-000. The other is between Kane Springs and LaSal Junction in San Juan county. The engineer's estimate esti-mate is $9,000. Water, shade trees, and other facilities are to be provided pro-vided for short stops, but no overnight over-night camping will be allowed at either point. |
