Show FORMER UTAHN DROWNS IN OREGON RIVER Reed Reynolds, 55, a former Springville resident, was drowned Saturday at Tillamook, Ore., according ac-cording to word received Sunday by Dr. Frank T. Reynolds, a half-brother. half-brother. Mr. Reynolds, who was manager of the Portland, Ore., branch of the Super-Cold Refrigeration corporation, cor-poration, was fishing near Tillamook Tilla-mook with his wife and brother-in-law, J. S. Winfield of Tillamook, when the raft on which they were standing capsized, word from Oregon Ore-gon stated. Mrs. Reynolds and Mr. Winfield were rescued by other fishermen, but Mr. Reynolds was caught in the strong current and drowned. His body was recovered shortly after the accident. He was born April 7, 1886, in Springville, a son of Joseph A. and Lorinda Tew Reynolds. He received receiv-ed his education in the Springville city schools and after graduating from the Springville high school went to California, where he became be-came a salesman. Later, he moved to Oregon. Surviving, besides his widow, Mrs. Delia Reynolds, whom he married mar-ried in 1920 at Huntington, Utah, are a son, Vern Reynolds of Los Angeles, Cal., and a step-daughter, Hilda; two brothers and two sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Bertha R. Winfield and Jesse R. Reynolds of Tillamook, Ore.; Joseph A. Reynolds of San Francisco and Mrs. Elizabeth Miner of Springville; five half-brothers and sisters, Mrs. D. C. Brim-hall, Brim-hall, Mrs. Harold Gardner and Dr. Reynolds of Provo; Mrs. May Ellis of Spanish Fork, and Morris Reynolds Rey-nolds of Santa Monica, Calif. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Wednesday at Tillamook, Ore. |
