Show Two Games Set Tonite,Mon. In City Hoop League Cal's Cars pulled an upset during the week-to tip the favored Russell's Market'.five 36-38 in a hotly contested con-tested battle. Jarvis and Teasdale led the winners with Jarvis counting 15 points. While scoring was fairly even on the Russell's side, Mower came out with top scoring honors. The game was close throughout, with the lead changing hands several times. Brookside Market won over the Mapleton Jay"cees, 59-31, behind the basket shooting of Leonard James and Woodrow Weight. James dunked in 21 tallies, while Weight garnered 16. For Mapleton, Maple-ton, Antonino and Bird rang up 10 each. Tuesday night games went to VFW and Russell's Market. The VFW team had its hands plenty full in staving off a real threat by Safeways to eke out a 34-33 win. Russell's and Mapleton .Jaycees put on a good battle, with the market team coming out on top 45-31. Two city recreation basketball games are scheduled for tonight, beginning at 7:30. The first game will pit Safeways against the strong Cal's Cars club. Cal's club has been improving with each game and boasts a talented outfit. Safeways team is composed of younger fellows and has developed into a strong combination. At 8:30 the Brookside team will meet VFW in what should be an interesting battle.
