Show Maplefon Jaycees Active Era Clmt Social Functsons Highlighted by a fish and game meeting, a Christmas party for children and a New Year's dance, the Mapleton Jaycee calendar has been filled up the past few days, and practically every member of the club has participated in the various activities. DeVon Bird, superintendent of the state fish and game farm, spoke at the Jaycee regular meeting, meet-ing, telling the clubmen the condition condi-tion of Utah lake and explaining the care of fish. Lewis Bleggi showed films of the deer and elk hunts in which he had participated to add interest to the meeting. The ladies attended the meeting and luncheon was served in conclusion. Bill Cox, Lewis Bleggi and Jack Bona were chairmen. Children's Party ... Approximately sixty boys and girls were guests of the Mapleton Jaycees at an annual Christmas party Friday evening. The party was held at the Mapleton school, with a Christmas tree, a visit from Santa, who gave a gift and a bag of candy and nuts to each, and group singing as special features. In charge of rrangements for the children's party were Verl Jensen and Stan Bird. New Year's Dance ... The New Year's dance was also a successful and enjoyable affair, held under the direction of the ' Jaycees. Hats, horns and other j noise-makers added to the spirit i of the occasion.
