Show Mrs. Jersnle Starr Died Wednesday; Fyneral Saturday Mrs. Jennie Burraston Starr, 73, died Wednesday at 7:44 a. m., at the Utah Valley hospital, of causes incident to age. About ten days ago Mrs. Stan-fell Stan-fell at her home and fractured her hip which necessitated an opera-ation. opera-ation. She had been in the hospital hos-pital since the accident. Funeral services will be con; ducted Saturday at 1 p. m., in the Second-Eighth ward chapel, under direction of the Eighth ward bishopric. Friends may call at the Claudin Funeral Home, 308 North Main street, from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m., Friday, Fri-day, and at the Starr residence, 314 South First West, from 10 a. V" m. until 12:30 p. m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Starr was born at Mona, Juab county, July 26, 1877, the youngest daughter of Richard James and Emma Price Burraston. She was married to Alfred L. Starr March 16, 1899, at Provo, and had made their home here since. An active member of the LDS church, she has served as teacher in the Relief Society, and was a member of the special activity committee of the organization many years. She was a member of the Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers and was an honorary member of the American Legion Auxiliary, having been a Gold Star mother since the death of her son, Stewart B. Slarr, in World War II. A daughter, Nora Starr, and an infant child preceded her in death. Mr. Starr also died a number of years ago. Surviving are six sons and daughters, Mrs. Grovcr Clyde (Grace), of Honolulu, T. H.; Court-land Court-land P. Starr, Salt Lake City; Warren A. Starr, Pullman, Wash.; Albert L. Starr, Mrs. Blaine Thorpe (Edna), Mrs. Richard Lov-eridge Lov-eridge (Eva), all of Springville. There are also 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. |
