Show Missionary From Mapleton To Be Given Farewell Duane Binks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Binks of Mapleton, has accepted a call to serve in the Central States LDS mission, and leaves for the mission home in Salt Lake January 8. A program is being given in his honor Sunday evening, beginning at 7 p. m., in the Mapleton ward chapel, to which ward members and friends of the missionary are invited. Following invocation by Norris -T. Binks, the male chorus from Genola will furnish a musical number. num-ber. There will be remarks by parents of the missionary, by Bishop Oscar Whiting and by Elder El-der Binks. A violin duet is to be given by Dorothy Clark and Elaine Jessee, and the closing number will be by the Genola chorus, followed by the invocation by Fred W. Davis. The departing missionary is a graduate of the Springville high school and the LDS Seminary, and is also a former student at the Brigham Young University. |
