Show Six Stake Teams Still Battle For Kolob Softball Title With only four more days of Kolob stake Softball play left, there is still a mathematical chance for six out of nine teams to win the league and advance into the division play-offs to be held,, August 2. i Only Third, Fourth and Fifth are out of the running for top honors. Saturday's games will decide which team stays at the top of the league with an unblemished record. First and Sixth, both of whom have come this far without a defeat, will tangle in the battle of the week. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Immediately following, the two Mapleton teams will square off. Tonight at 7, Third and Maple-ton Maple-ton will tangle, First and Second play, and the last game will pit Mapleton Second and Sixth against each other. Jack Jones of First skyrocketed into first place in individual bat-tinir bat-tinir averages as he led his team- were Barney and Roundy who garnered gar-nered three for five, and two for five respectively. Sixth pitcher Van Orden, who now sports a 4-0 record, handcuffed hand-cuffed Third with three hits. First topped Fifth 11-9, and Mapleton Ma-pleton stopped Fourth 7-3 on Martin's Mar-tin's three hit pitching job, in other games played Thursday.
