Two Springville Women Receive Gifts As Eldest Ladies at DUP Outing More than a hundred Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pio-neers from Springville and Mapleton camps were in , attendance at the program and social of the South 87. There were many in attendance attend-ance over 80 years of age. The party honored the retiring officers of the South Utah county organization who included, from Springville, Mrs. Lura Patrick, who served as secretary; Mrs. Mary Smart, retiring parliamentarian parliamen-tarian and Mrs. Thelma DeGraw of Mapleton, past cheer leader. Each of these ladies, with retiring officers from the other towns in south Utah county, were presented with past officers pins. Program numbers furnished by the Springville and Mapleton camp included readings by Mrs. Ella Reynolds and Mrs. Zora Hales. Mrs. Flossie Sanford of Springville Spring-ville is president of the South Utah county organization, and her -rJtah county organization held aM Salem recreation park on Thursday Thurs-day afternoon of last week. A highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of a gift to the three eldest women in attendance and two of the gifts ' went to Springville women, Mrs. Sarah Dalton, Mrs. Ada Harrison, both second vice-president, Mrs. Winnie Hawkins of Benjamin; Mrs. Helen Davis of Salem, cheer leader and Mrs. Jerald Fowkes of Santaquin constituted the committee arranging arrang-ing the outing which was attended by approximately 425 DUP members. mem-bers.
