Show Three Springville Girls Will Go to N. Y., to Take Part, in LDS Pageant " At least three Springville girls will have the unique experience of participating in the world-famed religious pageant, "America's Witness for Christ," sponsored by the LDS church at Hill Cumorah, Palmyra, N.Y., August 11, 12 and 13, it was announced this week. The Misses Phyllis Condie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Condie; Geraldine Murray, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Murray and Evelyn Crandall, daughter of Mrs. Janet Crandall will be among the 110 leaving July 28, by bus for the church shrine. The Utah group of young people will be joined by LDS missionaries missionar-ies and other members of the church in the area to stage the colorful production. Miss Condie, a graduate of the BYU, is a teacher as is also Miss " Murray, while Miss Crandall is a junior next year at the "Y". All parking and seating at the pageant are free and reservations for overnight accomodations may be secured by writing the Housing Secretary Martin Harris Farm, R. D. Maple Ave., Palmyra, N.Y., those in charge of the pageant state. The Pageant will be staged on the' western slopes of Hill Cumorah, Cumor-ah, the place where the plates of the Book of Mormon were buried. The action takes place on four main stages. Each stage is brilliantly bril-liantly lighted with colored lights and powerful arcs. The sound follows fol-lows the action on the widely separated sep-arated stages by an ingeneous arrangement, ar-rangement, of hidden loud speakers. speak-ers. "America's Witness for Christ," long recognized as America's outstanding out-standing religious pageant, was viewed last year by an audience estimated by the Associated Press to exceed 100,000 persons.
