Show I Crandall Reunion To Include People From Over Nation Descendants of John Crandall, one of the founders of the state of Rhode Island, who settled there in 1634, are being invited to the annual Crandall family reunion planned for August 13, in this city, it was announced this week. Previously the reunion has included in-cluded the branch of the family who came to .Utah to join the LDS church, but since genealogy records have traced descendants back to Rhode Island settlement days, it has been decided to invite in-vite all members of he family on a national basis to the reunion here. It is the aim- of family organization or-ganization officers to plan a national na-tional reunion sometime in the future at the site of the first setlement of this family in Rhode Island. a Not only has the genealogy records re-cords of the family been compiled for church data but for scientific study of family traits and tendencies ten-dencies has much of the work been done, it is reported. The reunion plans for August 13 include a family gathering at the city park at 3 p.m., a program pro-gram at 7 p.m. in the Third-Ninth ward church following a picnic supper at the park earlier in the evening. Horace Crandall of Salt Lake City is president of the family organization. |
