Show Camp Springville Honors Mothers 70 Camp Springville DUP marked Mother's Day last Thursday afternoon after-noon with a special program at the home of Mrs. Lura Patrick, with Captain Nettie Thorn conducting. con-ducting. The camp gave silent tribute to one Of their members, the late Mrs. Anna Burns and Mrs. Hattie Dougall also paid tribute to her. There was a vocal duet by Mrs. Charlotte Packard and Barbara Packard, accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Bird. A special tribute to all members of the camp over 70 years of age was given by Mrs. Dorothy Wheler and each one received re-ceived a carnation. Of 16 members over 70, ten were present, including: includ-ing: Mrs. Martha Gabbitas, Mrs. Sarah Packard, Mrs. Jane Wagner, Mrs. Harriett Dougall, Mrs. Mary Mendenhall, Mrs. Rose Blackett. Mrs. Emma Cranmer, Mrs. Emma Brown, Mrs. Lydia Palfreyman and Miss Fanny Rowland. The program for the afternoon was featured with a review of the book. "In the Garden" by Mrs. Floss Phillips, which was enjoyed by all. Light refreshments were served in conclusion by Mrs. Patric, Mrs Rhoda Huff, Mrs. Martha Gabbitas, Gabbi-tas, Miss Fanny Rowland and Mrs. Lucy Robertson. |
