Show Relief Available To Farmers in Flood Sections Some relief may be available to farmers in the flood areas throughout through-out Utah through long term loans available for the repair of their irrigation systems announced Golden Gol-den Stephenson, supervisor for the Farmers Home Administration. Loans may be made to eligible farmers for. the construction, repair, re-pair, enlargement of ponds, irrigation irri-gation ditches, headgates, leveling level-ing land ,or similar facilities needed need-ed to bring about the better use of existing water supplies, or preserve pre-serve the natural resources. These loans bear interest at the rate of 3 percent and are repayable over the useful life of the facility but not more than 20 years. Technical assistance in planning and the installation of the system is extended to eligible farmers or water associations making applications. appli-cations. Help is also available to help families with their farm and home plans and problems. To be eligible for loans for this type you must be: 1. A farmer or water association in need of the water facility in order to make your farm operations opera-tions sound. 2. Be unable to obtain the necessary nec-essary credit c-n reasonable terms and in sufficient amounts from the banks or other credit sources in the community. 3. Be' an operator or owner of a family-type farm unit or if an association as-sociation loan, most of the water users must be operators of family type farms.
