Show Marvin Warren Named New President of Lions Club Marvin Warren was selected president of the Lions club at its meeting held last Thursday evening. He succeeds Otto Fry, who has served the past year. : 1 Other officers chosen to serve with him are: Eldon Palfreyman, first vice-president; Howard Sanford, San-ford, second vice-president; Jack Robertson, third vico - president; Leo Cutler and Wilford Gottfredson, Gottfred-son, directors; Maeser Young, tail twister and Erling Roylance, lion tamer. Charles Porter was retained as secretary-treasurer. The program was under the direction di-rection of the nominations committee, com-mittee, with Paul Haymond chairman, chair-man, and featured campaign talks from the nominees. Pledge to the flag was led by Russell Childs and two vocal selections were given by Miss June Wood, accompanied by Jane Harrison. Georgo Pehrson, city recreation director, presented the club with a trophy for sponsoring the champion champ-ion basketball team of the city recreation league. Construction of rest rooms at the Kelly's Grove recreation grounds was discussed and a committe was appointed to see about castings and gratings for the big fireplace at Kelly's which was built by the Lions and presented presen-ted to the city last year. |
