Show Club Members Hear Boole, Elect Officers An interesting -review of Agnes Newton Keith's book, "The White Man Returns," was given by Mrs. Glen W. Sumsion at the Thursday Thurs-day evening meeting of the Ladies Literary club, held at the home of Mrs. Berton Groesbeck. The program announced by Mrs. Eugene Johnson, president followed follow-ed a nicely arranged lunch served by the hostess, assisted by her daughter Janet. Also during the evening, new club officers were elected as follows: fol-lows: Mrs. Claude A. Smith, president; pres-ident; Mrs. Howard Maycock, vice-president; vice-president; Mrs. Paul Thorn, program pro-gram chairman; Mrs. Wm. H. Brown, secretary. The next meeting of the club was announced for April 24, to be at the home of Mrs. Paul K. Walker, Wal-ker, when Mrs. E. T. Crandall will give the book. |
