Show Official Warns on the Dangers of Hobble Creek; Thanks Students , Apprehensive of the danger involved in the rising waters in Hobble Creek, the city streets and walks department of which Councilman Harold Whiting is chairman, this week asked parents to to warn children of the danger. It has been noted that it is not the children who live adjacent ad-jacent to the creek who are most curious about the high water, but children blocks away are lured to the banks and bridges by stories of the big stream. Mr. Whiting asked also that anyone who detects debris, a fallen tree or other obstruction obstruc-tion in the creek, to notify the city engineer's office immediately. immed-iately. He said that street employees em-ployees are watehing the creek but it is impossible to patrol its entire course at all times Thanks Students In spite of the inclement weather the students and their supervisors did a good job on most of the streets during the clean-up activities Monday Mr. Whiting said and the city publicly thanks the students and teachers for their efforts in this work. |
