Show ,Bird and Mrs. Vaughn Wilcox, Mrs. Maurice Bird, dub president presi-dent welcomed the ladies and asked ask-ed Zina Johnson to read the club collect. Vaughn Wilcox, Wil-cox, Mrs. Howard Maycock, Mrs. LaRell Johnson, Mrs. Lawrence Lynn and Mrs. Ivan Child, the latter lat-ter a guest. Lives of Singers 4 Reviewed at Club The lives and works of several great women singers were reviewed review-ed by Mrs. Allie Clark of Provo for members of .the Springville Federated Music Club, when they met with Mrs. Ellen Anderson at her home Friday evening of last week. She told of Saint Cecilia of Rome, Sappho, Maria Malibran (who has been the ideal of great singers for over 100 years) ; Juliette Juli-ette Gresi who was famous for her trills, Schroeder, the great dramatic dra-matic singer; Materna, who was a great teacher as well as artist; Lillie Lehman the great Wagnerian Wagner-ian singer; Marcella Seurbrick, whom Lizt said had the "voice of an angel;" Nordica, Matzenaner Farrar, Melba, Galli-Cursi.
