Show Springville Man Takes Honors at Utah University Dale Diamond, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Diamond of this city, enrolled in his first year at the University of Utah, has been designated desig-nated as the outstanding freshman student in engineering at the "U", according to word received here. In recognition of this honor, Dale was presented with a Parker 51 pen and pencil set at a dinner meeting held November 11, by the local and alumni chapters of Tau Beta Phi to initiate new members into the fraternity. Dr. Calvin W. Taylor, psychology professor, was the speaker. Dale served four years in the service at Kessler Field, Miss., and also had studied two years in the east, before enrolling at the U. of U. |
