Show Mapleton Man Takes Bride from Washington in Seattle Ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Reid M. Hales who recently returned return-ed from a trip to Seattle, Wash., bring back the news of the marriage of their son Blaine to Miss LaVonne i Lt. Carl J. Angus, son of Mrs. Delia A. Hutton of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Springville, is home on a week's furlough with the Marines stationed for the past eight months in Japan. He is to report back to North Carolina. He has been in the service since 1951. The Eighth ward Junior Gleaners Glean-ers and Junior M Men enjoyed a fireside chat at the home of Zella Wilmott Sunday evening. The Book of Luke was the subject of the class lesson given under direction of instructors, Mrs. Edward Boyer and Marshall Fox. j Dugan who k; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dugan of Sunny-! Sunny-! side, Wash. They were married Saturday, October 2 at Seattle, where they will make their home. LaVonne is a graduate of the Sunnyside high school and attended attend-ed nursing school at Lakama, Wash., for three years. Blaine has completed eighteen months of service in the army and is stationed at Seattle, Wash. He is a graduate of the Springville high school and seminary and attended at-tended the AC at Logan for two years. Open house will be held for the newlyweds upon their arrival home at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reid W. Hales, which will be during the later part of the month. Mrs. Blanch Beal visited last weekend with her sister, Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Winn and other relatives at Nephi. Msr. Beal had as her guests one day and night this week, a nephew, Dr. Glenn Dorius and his wife of Oakland, Calif. The couple made a visit to the art gallery and were amazed and delighted with i the quality of the paintings. Richard Daybell, fireman with the navy has been spending a leave . in Springville with relatives and friends after service in Japanese . waters on the destroyer USS Ro-, Ro-, wan. He was met in San Diego i when his ship docked, by his moth-. moth-. er, Mrs. Myrle Daybell and an 1 aunt, Mrs. Rosalie Daybell and re-! re-! turned home with them. After a ; ten-day leave, he was to report to San Francisco. |
