Show Honored at Open House ... i ; It., Mrs. George Anderson Leave for' Fla. Following Wedding, Reception Exquisite in every detail was the Open House reception honoring Lt. Geogre L. Anderson of the U. S. Airforce and his bride, the former Miss Darla Robbins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman L. Robbins of this city Thursday evening of last week at the home of the bridegroom's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson. An-derson. The couple exchanged marriage vows in an impressive double ring ceremony earlier in the evening performed by Attorney Phil Chris-tensen Chris-tensen of Orem with whose firm Darla has been employed. Guests witnessing the ceremony numbered about forty immediate relatives and close friends of the couple. Standing before the fireplace banked with white chrysanthemums, chrysanthe-mums, the couple made a charming charm-ing picture as they greeted their guests at the open house. The bride was beautiful in an original gown ballerina length all lace with full skirt of fine lace ruffles shaded from sky-blue at . the hemline to a very light blue tight fitting bodice and lace bolero. Her veil of pale blue silk net fell shoulder-length from a crown of seed pearls and ice-blue sequins. A white orchid surrounded with stephanatos with a touch of pink rested on a white Bible to form her bridal bouquet. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Metcalf, while Miss Brenda Anderson, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. They wore lovely dresses of pink and blue and held bouquets of pink cymbedium orchids or-chids and pink mums. Richard Robbins, brother of the bride, was best man. Parents of the couple also assisted as-sisted in the reception line, Mrs. Robbins wearing a dusty rose formal for-mal and Mrs. Anderson, blue with orchid corsages. Greeting guests at the door were John David Anderson and Kenneth Ken-neth Metcalf. Mrs. Marvin Cox was at the guest register. Pamela Anderson An-derson assisted with the gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Poulsen of Rich, field, grandparents of the groom, were special guests at the reception. recep-tion. Refreshments were served buffet buf-fet style from a white linen covered cov-ered table centered with an arrangement ar-rangement of white and blue chrysanthemums. chry-santhemums. Adding a distinctive note to the color theme, was the Lt. and Mrs. George L. Anderson, nee Miss Darla Robbins lacy 3-tiered wedding cake of ice-s blue topped with hearts and tiny bells with silver trim. In charge of serving was Odessa Snow of Orem. Mrs. Blair Sargent poured and assisting with refreshments refresh-ments were Joan Thorpe, Charlene Tuttle and Marilyn Tuttle. s The newlyweds went to Salt Lake City after the reception and Friday evening bid farewell to the bride's brother Richard Robbins. who left on an LDS mission to Great Britian. The newlyweds and the bride's parents, then returned to the Anderson home where the couple opened their wedding gifts They left Saturday for Hurlburt Airforce base at Eglin, Fla., where Lt. Anderson expects to be stationed sta-tioned until his discharge in about six months. |
