Show Mapleton to Name 3 Councilmen From 6 Candidates Mapleton citizens will go to the polls next Tuesday, November 8, to name three councilmen to serve for a period of four years. Voting will be at the Town Hall and the polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Two tickets are in the field. One the Citizens party, will list the names of the three incumbents, Hugh Hjorth, Douglas Bills and Joseph Carnesecca, Jr. The other-, the Peoples Party, will include the names of Glen Seal, Reid M. Hales and Ray Whiting. It is pointed out that voters may vote for any three of the six men. They will be listed in alphabetical order under their party but a cross may be made opposite any three names. On the Mapleton ballot, the one name of John I. Holley will appear ap-pear as the only candidate for the position of member of the Nebo School District Board of Education Educa-tion from District Three. On the ballot also will be a place for write-in candidates if there should be any other names favored for the position. The office of-fice is for a period of three years and district three covers the area of Lake Shore, Benjamin, Thistle, Salem, Birdseye, Soldier Summit, Clinton and Mapleton. |
