Show Range Conditions Improve in State Surveys Indicate The present ranc condition In Utah is better than last year and considerably over the ten-year. 1927-36, avcrnge, Frank Andrews, senior state agricultural statistician statis-tician said in his range outlook report released this week- In all features of the range and livestock set-up conditions this year are better bet-ter than for the median period, Mr. Andrews said. Ranges in the northern part of the state are in excellent condition this year, the report showed. An abundance of water ha.s been noted, and the late fall ranje will be fully utilized. The central part of the state is suffering from a shortage of rainfall, the report indicates. A lijiht precipitation, however, will keep ranges in that area in excellent excel-lent condition for the late fall grazing. Weather conditions in the eastern east-ern part of Utah have been ideal for rane growth , and cattle in I that part of the state are in excellent ex-cellent shape. Precipitation has been abundant, and grazing should Ko on for some time yet. Only in the southern Utah area has the rane suffered from the weather conditions. Here a marked mark-ed drouth has been noted, but cattle have remained in excellent shape despite the adverse weather. I All livestock has been reported as in the best of condition. In Nevada, the report stated, the range has deteriorated during the last month, but it is still better than the ten-year average for the I area. |
