Show CHAS, A. DALEY SERVICES HELD Funeral services ' for Charles A. Daley, 87, pioneer resident of this city who died Friday at the home of a son, Charles L. Daly in Provo, were conducted in the First ward chapel, Sunday Sun-day afternoon. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under direction direc-tion of Claudin funeral home. Mr. Daly was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, July 30, 1850, a son of Judson A. and Harriet Harris Daley. He came to Springville Spring-ville with his parents in the Thomas Clark company when he was 8 years old and has lived here since. He went to Provo abo.ut two months and five days before his death, where he suffered suf-fered a stroke. A carpenter by trade, he assisted as-sisted in construction of the First ward meeting house. When a young man, he helped to freight between Nevada and Utah. He was . associated with his father in the first --undertaking business here, at a time when caskets were home-made. He married Elizabeth Lambson in 1875, at Springville. Mrs. Lambson died in 1930. Surviving are three sons, Charles Char-les L., and Albert L. Daley, Provo; Pro-vo; G. M. Daley, Springville; nine grandchildren; 11 great I grandchildren. |
