Show Kiwanis Club Elects NeAVn. Jrl938; Hear Talk on Safety Sneaking of "Safely" and discussing dis-cussing functions of the junior traffic police corps in Salt Lake Cilv, Traffic Investigator Elmer C. Hale addressed members of the local Kiwanis club here last Thursdav nisht. The Salt Lake City officer, who oiganized Springville, 's junior jun-ior traffic police a year ago. pointed out value of the junior traffic training to boys engaged in the work and discussed various var-ious causes of automobile accidents acci-dents on the highways and streets. Officer Hale lauded Judge Reva Beck Bosone, Salt Lake City police judge, saying that. "Traffic "Traf-fic officers certainly appreciate the support she is giving ii: handling traffic cases." Officers of the ciub for the coming year were also elected during the evening as follows: F. C. Packard, president; D. B. Welch, vice-president; H. T. Reynolds, W. V. Clyde, Dean Stewart, J. F. Wingate, C. G. Salisbury, Jack Fletcher and Harold Christensen, board of directors. President Milton Harrison an- nounced there would be no Kiwanis Ki-wanis club meeting this Thursr-day, Thursr-day, due to Thanksgiving. The meeting program was in charge of H. B. Fry and included vocal selections by Carl Nelson; a horn solo by Carling Childs, with . Mrs. Mary Bird, accompanist. |
