Show Ceremony at Mapleton Unites LaRaine Everett with Nephi Man One of the prettiest brides of the season was LaRaine Everett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Everett of Mapleton who was married by Bishop Don Swenson Friday, January 23 in the Mapleton church to Scot Wetherell of Nephi. Scot is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wetherell. A wedding reception followed follow-ed the marriage ceremony in the recreation hall of the church. The bride was beautiful beauti-ful in white chrystilite fashioned fashion-ed with a bouffant skirt and form fitting bodice. Her filmy veil cascaded ' from a sequin covered crown and she carried car-ried a bridal bouquet made of a single orchid circled with baby orchids. Lee Fowkes of Nephi was best man. Jean Royce of Nephi was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Kristine Whiting, Julia Cloward, and Mrs. Kathryn Jessee who were all charming in pink sheaths and carried nosegays of pink carnations and white mums. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Everett chose black linen while Mrs. Wetherell was attractive at-tractive in blue, and each wore corsages of pink and white. Greeting guests at the door were an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Thorn of opringville. Presiding at the guest book were Mrs. Ted Gordon and Miss Lola Hatfield. Young gift bearers were Dennis Everett, brother of the bride and Shar Lee Everett a sister and Mary Lou and Susie Wetherell, sisters sis-ters of the groom. The girls were all dainty in pink. Arranging gifts were aunts of the bride, Mrs. Vivian Everett, Eve-rett, Mrs. Fay Everett, Mrs. Lois Swenson and Mrs. LaRue Johnson and" a cousin, Mrs. Kay Roberts and Mrs. Muriel Cox. Assisting in serving refreshments refresh-ments were six girl friends, Jeannie Allan. Lynn Johnson, Mary Johnson, Ann Childs, Rose Marie Halverson and Jeen Cloward. LaRaine is a graduate of :he Springville high school and Seminary while Scot will graduate grad-uate from the Nephi high school this spring. The young couple plan to make their home .n Nephi. |
