Show Graveside Service 'Held Here Mon. For Grover Clyde Burial and a brief service were held in the Springville 2sEvergreen cemetery Monday iii afternoon for Grover Clyde, a " former resident of Springville brother of Governor George D. II Clyde of Salt Lake City and "w. W. Clyde and Edward Clyde 1 it Springville. Mr. Clyde died Wednesday 'it an Evanston, Wyo., hospi- tal of a heart ailment. He became be-came ill while in Randolph, Utah, on his work as an ap- 1 appraiser for the state tax com-viiil com-viiil nission, and went to the hospital hos-pital for treatment, will Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in Salt Lake City Mon-1 Mon-1 lay at noon, in the Wasatch first ward chapel. Born in Springville Novem- "jer 18, 1893, he was a son of Hyrum S. and Elenora Jane rohnson Clyde. He attended ichools here and later graduat- id from the Utah State Agri-Aultural Agri-Aultural College, Logan and erved with the U. S. Army in Vorld War I, part of the time 5r3n France. g3 He was employed as a mar-pjeting mar-pjeting specialist for the U. S. f department of Agriculture for 7 years retiring in 1956, to :J ecome associated with the ' tate tax commission. His employment took him o various parts of the country, n Milwaukee, he served as an JJS ward bishop 13 years and ras a Sunday school superin- 3 pendent while the family resided resid-ed in Hawaii. He served on a Itake mission while in Port-ind, Port-ind, Oregon, and in Chicago, !!., was chairman of the stake fleneaogical committee. He as a member of Kolob High ouncil while residing i n pringville and also served as ajmmander of the Legion Post. In his earlier life, he filled n LDS mission to the South-n South-n States. SHe married Grace Starr of pringville Sept. 29, 1920 in le Salt Lake Temple.
