Mrs. Cox is the former Joyce Peterson of Spanish Fork. George A. Cox of Mapleton Takes Bride, Leaves for US. Army Base Back at his army base at Fort Knox, Kentucky is George A. Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cox of Mapleton who during his recent furlough married Miss Joyce Peterson, daughter of Mrs. Mary S. Peterson Pe-terson of Spanish Fork. The couple were wed the day following Christmas and left shortly after on a honeymoon. For the wedding ceremony performed by Bishop Don Swenson of Spanish Fork, the bride wore a waltz length gown of white lace over tulle, with long sleeves and trimmed with seed pearls. Her finger-tip veil of nylon net, was lace trimmed and held by a crown of seed pearls. Mrs. Carol Ann Farnsworth was matron of honor for her sister and Ted Cox, brother of the groom, was best man. After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds cut their wedding wed-ding cake and refreshments were served to friends and relatives re-latives assembled for the wedding. wed-ding.
