Ballard entertained last night at a dancing party at their home, 120 G street, in honor of Miiss Edith Smith, who will leave early in June for Europe with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Albert Smith. Dancing was enjoyed on the lawn and punch was served on the porch. The house, was decorated with spring flowers, flow-ers, with pink and white predominating. Crystal candelabra, with pink candles and shades, were used throughout tiie house. Assist ing in receiving the guests were Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Ballard and Mrs. Clara Woodruff Beebe. Assisting in the dining room were Mrs. J. J. Paynes, Mrs. R. V. Young. Mrs. Ii. "Y. Madsen and Miss Mary Young. Seventy guests were in attendance. Mrs. Louise Merrill entertained a party of friends last night at the Wasatch ward carnival in honor of Miss Virginia Sadler and Miss Pearl Roberts, who .will leave soon for California for an extended trip.
