The new store, the" third one to be opened by this pioneer company, has been doing business for some time past. The formal opening had been postponed, however, until a shipment of about fifty mirrors, delayed in shipment for many weeks, should arrive. These mirrors are now in place and everything is in readiness for what the management expects to be the biggest day in the history of the company. The above photos show three interior scenes in the new store. Some time ago the Keeley company sent two representatives to the coast to make a survey of refreshment parlors in the big coast cities. The beauty and comfort of the new Keeley store are the results of this investigation, combined with careful planning to make everything as perfect as possible. That they have succeeded is putting it mildly, according to those who have seen it. The new store is declared by Its management to be the finest of its kind in the city and one of the finest to fce found anywhere in the west. The walls from end to end are fitted with plate glass mirrors; the furnishings are of birdseye maple and birdseye marble. mar-ble. Mural paintings by A. B. Wright are part of the beautiful decorations. The fountain is handsomely designed and decorated with silver trimmings and electric lights. The base is finished with a border of Utah onyx. Altogether the effect is very pleasing and attractive. To add to its pleasantness, a cooling device has been installed which insures a comfortable, com-fortable, ey,en temperature on the hottest ; days. j The management expects at least 5000 , people to visit the new store on the! opening day. As a special opening feature, fea-ture, 2500 lady customers on that day ! will be given a souvenir box of Keeley's best chocolates. Half of these will be distributed in the morning and half in the evening first come, first served. It is a well-known fact that the Keeley Ice Cream company is the pioneer manufacturer manu-facturer of ice cream in the state of Utah. Its factory has a capacity of 200 gallons an hour, and it has never been closed down five minutes in the past two years. "We have spared no effort or expense," said Alldridge N. Evans, retail manager, "to make this new store a place that people will enjoy coming to. We Intend to have the best of service, and this, combined with such pleasant surroundings, surround-ings, will undoubtedly prove attractive enough to fulfill our greatest expectations." expecta-tions." The new store boasts one of the daintiest dain-tiest and most artistic little refreshment parlors in the whole lntermotmtain west. Handsome ns the entire store is, the crowning feature is the room at , the rear, arranged to seat thirty-two people. Furnished Fur-nished with wicker chairs and tables in old ivory finish and wicker light shades, it harmonizes beautifully with the ivory tinted walls. Hand paintings and decorating by well-known well-known local decorators add to the artistic ar-tistic appearance of this cozy cove. Plate glass mirrors extend from the paneling to the floor. The ceiling is done in a cretonne effect. The tables are glass-topped over cretonne. The little room makes a cozy, inviting retreat, elegant in every detail. It is not to be reserved for special use, says the management, but it is open to the public at all times. The total seating capacity of the entire store is something over 100 persons.
