Show PRESBYTERIAN SYNOD TO HOLD CONVENTION The Utah synod of the Presbyterian church will hold its annual convention at the Third Presbyterian church. Eleventh Elev-enth East and Seventeenth South streets, Thursday, it was announced vesterday. The Rev. C. H. Hamilton of Delta will act as moderator. The opening: sermon will be preached at 9 o'clock in the morning morn-ing by the Rev. Weston T. Johnson, D. D,, of San Francisco. Communion service will follow. Election of officers for the coming year will take place at 10:30 o'clock. At the 2 o'clock session, the Rev. Perry1 V. Jen-ness, Jen-ness, D. D., of Denver, will give the report re-port of New Era work. Reports of various vari-ous committees will foHow. At 8 o'clock the corporation meeting of Westminster college will be held. Friday Fri-day morning at 9 o'clock the report of the synod teal superintendent of home missions, Dr. W. W. Paden, and the report re-port of the extension committee, will be given. ' Delegates to the convention are the guests of the Third Presbyterian church at Westminster college during their stay in the city. |
