Show EXPRESS COMPANY BANS GOODS FOR STRIKE TERRITORY Special to The Tribune. OGDEXT, Aug.- 27.The American Railway Rail-way Express company announced today that an embargo had been placed upon shipments to southern California and Arizona Ari-zona points, as a result of the strike of rail employees in and near Los Angeles, j Shipments will riot be accepted for any point further west than Caliente. Perishable Per-ishable goods and merchandise not subject sub-ject to delay will not be received from the southwest, but express subject to delay de-lay will be received. Late tonight officers of the Federated Shopmen's union had received no advices concerning the matter of voting upon the acceptance or rejection of the offer made by the railroad administration in answer to the demands for wage increase made some time ago. The men announced they were ready to abide by the orders of the chief c f fleers in whatever decision is made. |
