Conferences ; at Shanghai looking to an adjustment of! relations between North and South China are to bo resumed Immediately, with prospects for an early agreement, dispatches dis-patches to the state department report. Wang P. Tong has been appointed head of the delegation from North China. Other advices received here said Dr. Sun Yat Sen. who was the first president of the Chinese republic and has been one of the leadens of the southern faction at Canton, had resigned his partv office because of dissatisfaction with the attitude of the southern faction in the negotiations at Shanghai.
