Show HIGHWAY PROJECTS BEING CONSIDERED Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Aug. 7. Ten highway projects are now under consideration by the United States bureau of public roads in Utah and Idaho, according to the statement state-ment today ot Engineer H. E. Kidder ot the local office. Pour surveying parties are in the field at the present time preparing pre-paring plans for roads that will be constructed con-structed next year. Only one btd was received on the Mont-peller-Afton project, according to Mr. Kidder, and the contract for construction of twelve miles of this road will be let to the Mendenhall Construction company, the only bidder. The roads now under construction are as follows: North Fork-Payette, Idaho; Ketchum-Clayton, Idaho; Warm river-Yellowstone, river-Yellowstone, Idaho; Teton pass, Idaho; Logan-Garden City, Utah; Ephrnlm-Orangeville, Ephrnlm-Orangeville, Utah; Heber - Frultlund, Utah; Cedar-Long valley, Utah, and the Modena-St. George, Utah. Dr. L. I. Hughes, general inspector of the bureau of public roads Of the United States, was in Ogden yesterday, going over the work in this district with Mr. Kidder. Mr. Hughes left last night for Yellowstone to attend a meeting of the Montana Bankers' association. |
