Mrs. Brita Strombcrg McDonald, a resident of Salt Lake for the past fifty years, died at. 1ier home, 1-19 Hawthorne Haw-thorne avenue, yesterday afternoon from a complication of diseases. She had been ill for several days. Mrs. McDonald was born in Eingsta-Xorra-Lith-Ostersund, Sweden, March 27, 1S12, having come to Utah as a young woman. She arrived in Ogden in 1809, coming to Salt Lake from there by wagon. She had resided in Salt. Lake ever since. Mrs. McDonald was an enthusiastic and conscientious church worker all during her life, and won the sympathy and respect of a hot. of friends through her untiring efforts along the lines of her religious activities in the L. D. S. church. She had often acted in the capacity of spiritual advisor for many young people and these also will mourn her loss. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. C. McDonald, 860 First avenue ave-nue and 'Mrs. William Trimble of Oakland, Oak-land, Cab, a brother, Victor Hugo Strombcrg of Salt Lake, and three granddaughters, Mrs. Roy L. Schuyler and Miss Afton McDonald of Salt Lake and Mrs. John Kimball Woolley of Seattle. Wash. Funeral arrangements will be announced an-nounced later. |
