Show EDUCATORS RETURN FROM HIKE TO PEAK Special to The tribune. PROVCX Aug-. 7. Professors Fred Buss, E. L. Roberts, 13. H. Smart, M. P. Henderson, Hen-derson, Herald Clark, C. W. Whittaker and Ij. IT. Peterson returned today from their trip to the top of Mt. Nebo with citizens of Nephi. Professors Buss and Smart gave lectures on the geology and flora of the region. In comparing Nebo with Tlmpanogos, E. Ij. Roberts, who has been conducting mountain climbs for several yars, remarked: re-marked: "Mt. Nebo commands a more extended view of Utah than any other of our peaks, While it is not so beautiful and varied in scenic beauty as Timpanogos, it has many features more appealing- to mountain moun-tain climbers, and no Utahn who pretends pre-tends to know and love his state should fail to climb its ragged ridges. "The climb to Mt. Nebo is far easier than to Timpanogos, owing to the fact that the government has constructed an excellent trail to the monument peak." |
