The action of the board was taken at tho suggestion of Mr. Drake, who, in making the proposal, said that, in his opinion, the highest office in the organisation or-ganisation was thi just due of the man who, as vice president and general manager man-ager for o ma ny years, had been mainly responsible for the corporation 's substantial growth aud present commanding com-manding position. tio closely have both Mr. Drake and Mr, Hastings been associated with tio Hupp Motor Car corporation that a -history of the organization is almost literally lit-erally au account of their individual business activities. This latest move is typical of the team work that has always al-ways characterized their united efforts. Mr. Drake organized the company in 100S and Vocamc its president, an office of-fice which he has held up to this time. Shortly afterwards he was .-joined by Mr. J last ings, who immediately took charge of tho selling division and a little later became general manager.
