Show PREDICTS REDUCTION IN UTAH WHEAT CROP Production of winter wheat in TTLah and in the nation at lar.ee promises to be cut considerably iti 1020 below the 1019 figures. IWilner M. Justin, field a sent for the United States bureau of crop estimates, esti-mates, yesterday received from the bureau bu-reau a bulletin which placed the area sown in Utah this year at 100.000 acres, as compared with 172,000 last year, a reduction of 5 per cent. Condition this year is 92, as compared with i)7 last year, and 91 for the ten-year average. The national figures are 3S.770 acres sown this year, as against 50,489,000 last year, a reduction of 2'-i.2 per cent. Condition December was S3. 2 as against 9S.5 a year ago, and 79.3 two year ago. The ten-year average is 89. 5. Only Ttj.Ci per cent of last year's acreage of fall rye is sown, and condition is the same, S9 per cent. The Utah figures are IS, 000 acres sown each year, with condition con-dition this year at 100, as compared with 9-1 last year. |
